This article shows how you can share your iPad screen using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Facetime, or Webex
How to Share using Microsoft Teams
- Join a Teams meeting from the Meetings tab in the Teams app.
NOTE: You can also join directly by clicking the link in your Outlook or iOS Mail calendar invite.
- Now you’ve successfully joined Teams meeting with iOS device.
Now that you have joined the meeting, you should see the elipse button at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the elipse to bring up the sub menu.
- Now you will see the option to “Share”. Then you will see the sharing options including “Share Screen”.
- If you do not already have Screen Recording enabled on your iOS device, Teams will provide instructions on how to enable this in Control Center.
- Click the ‘Home’ button on your iOS device to take you back to the home screen, leaving the Teams app running and still joined to the meeting.
- Select Customize Controls.
- Click the green + next to ‘Screen Recording’.
- Now that Screen Recording has been enabled on your iOS device, you can go back to the Teams app where the meeting should still be active. Attempt to share again, and now you should see some slightly different instruction popup at the bottom.
- Follow these instructions to swipe up from the bottom of your iOS screen to bring up the Control Center. Now the ‘Record’ button shows up at the bottom left of Control Center.
- Press and hold the record button until the Screen Recording / Broadcast options come up.
- Select Microsoft Teams then click Start Broadcast.
- You will see a notice that you are now sharing your screen with Teams.
- Swipe down to get back to the Teams meeting page, or navigate to the content you want to share with the rest of the meeting attendees. Any application you open on your iOS screen will now be visible to the participants of the meeting.
- The top of your iOS screen will have a red bar to indicate that you are sharing your screen. At any time, you can click on the red bar to stop the broadcast of the screen.
How to Share using Zoom
- In your meeting, click Share Screen.
- Choose iPhone/iPad via Airplay.
- Optional: If you would like to share your phone audio into the meeting, check Share computer sound.
- Click Share Screen.
- If prompted, choose to install the plug-in.
- Follow the instructions to connect your iOS device.
- On your phone, swipe up to access the control center.
- Tap Screen Mirroring.
- Choose the Zoom-your computer option.
- On your phone, swipe up to access the control center.
- Your phone is now shared into the meeting.
How to Share Using FaceTime
Instead of struggling through a phone call, a good option is to have the other person take a FaceTime call on a secondary iOS device, and point it toward the device they are struggling with.
Even though this doesn’t allow you to control their device, it quickly allows you to see what’s going wrong. It’s also useful to see how the person needs to adjust how they’re trying to navigate, tap, interact, etc. with their device.
How to share using WebEx
To share your screen:

Set up screen sharing by adding Screen Recording in Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls.

Join the webex on an iOS device using the dedicated app. The app is a requirement.

Open your device's Control Center

Force-touch (hard press) the Screen Recording icon

Select Webex from the list of apps

Tap Start Broadcast

Return to the Webex app

Tap Start Now on the Share Screen popup
