Alternate File Share (for Windows Users)

About Alternate File Share: 

Alternate file share allows users to upload a different version of the asset to share with clients via email.  Only files that cannot be opened within the imSMART app are supported. 

Adding an alternate file to an existing asset:

1. Assets -> Select Existing Asset -> Alternate File Input -> Select file to upload
   
   
2. Under Alternate Asset Behavior, select one of the following:
• Do Not Download to Device: Asset will not be downloaded locally to device and only the original file that is downloaded on the tablet can be viewed using the Open in feature.
• Download to Device: Asset will download locally to device and will be able to be viewed using the Open in feature.
  
  
3. Click Save 

Adding an asset with an alternate file: 

1. Asset -> Add Asset 
   
   
2. Select Asset Type 
   
   
3. Select Asset under Alternate File Input
   
   
4. Under Alternate Asset Behavior, select one of the following:
   
   • Do Not Download to Device: Asset will not be downloaded locally to device
   • Download to Device: Asset will download locally to device
     
     
5. Save
